We have long experience helping paint manufacturers all over the world to create paints with the right consistency and brush resistance. Our products – BERMOCOLL, BERMODOL and GABROSA – are used by manufacturers of water-borne paints all over the world.

BERMOCOLL products are nonionic cellulose derivatives available in a wide range of viscosities, as standard and hydrophobically modified grades. BERMODOL products are polyurethane based associative thickeners. GABROSA products are anionic carboxymethyl cellulose derivatives. They can be used individually or in combination, depending on the paint characteristics desired.

They act as:  thickening agents, dispersing agents, stabilizing agents, protective colloids, water-retaining agents and  binding agents.

Cellulose ether-based thickeners can be modified with hydrophobic groups to become associative thickeners. Associative thickeners, which can also be polyurethane-based, interact with many ingredients in the paint, allowing greater scope for adjusting the properties of the paint formulation.
