Particle Size and product code
The standard grades, with a particle size of 0.50 mm have a 5 as the last number of the product code (as shown in table 1). Many of our grades are also available with different particle size distributions, ranging from granular (0.72 mm) to extra fine (0.1 mm), each having its own product code (table 2).
For example, the standard grade AKUCELL AF 2785 is also available as AF 2780 (max. 0.72 mm), AF 2781 (max. 0.1 mm) and AF 2782 (max. 0.25 mm). The only difference between these four grades is the particle size. All other specifications are identical. The choice of a particular particle size distribution depends on the available mixing equipment and the kind of product in which it is being used.

Packaging and storage
| AKUCELL is packaged in special bags, palletized and shrink-wrapped. The bags are 5-ply, including four of paper and an inner bag of polyethylene. To facilitate recognition in the warehouse, bags are color-coded with a green line on the front as well as the side panels. Each bag is labelled with product type, " For use in food (E466)," net weight, lot number and production date.
AKUCELL has a shelf life of at least two years, provided it is stored in its original, sealed packaging under dry and cool conditions. |
